Who we are
Bote Fote Drumworks, pronounced bo-tay fo-tay, originated as a custom drum building and repair shop with the goal to provide quality instruments to the African Drum & Dance community. Since then our organization has grown to include community services such as classes, workshops, performances, and cultural education.
For over 10 years, Bote Fote has been supplying individuals and organizations in the Philadelphia area and worldwide with professional quality percussion instruments. We specialize in custom-crafted djembes, dounouns, and other rope-tuned drums built using authentic materials and traditional techniques.
